I am thankful:Â
For the wife who says it’s hot dogs tonight, because she is home with me, and not out with someone else.Â
For the husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato, because he is home with me and not out at the bars.Â
For the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes, because it means she is at home, not on the streets.Â
For the taxes I pay because it means I am employed.Â
For the mess to clean after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends. For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.Â
For my shadow that watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine. For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.Â
For all the complaining I hear about the government because it means we have freedom of speech. For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking and I have been blessed with transportation.Â
For my huge heating bill because it means I am warm. For the lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means I can hear. For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear.Â
For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been Capable of working hard.Â
For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means I am alive.Â
And finally, for too much e-mail because it means I have friends who are thinking of me.
Well it lasted about three weeks … three weeks of little ones here and there. Three weeks of picking up children, checking homework, giving baths, cooking meals… and now, today, my daughter and grandchildren are moving out. They have found an apartment to move into, much faster then expected. And in just a few hours people will be coming in and out, moving furniture and clothes out to their new home.
I’ll go over later, hopefully today, to do a space clearing for the new space and set their intentions for the place: peace, calm, love, and abundance … this or something better as my dear friend Paula Langguth Ryan taught me.
So for a while I’ll have a “monkey wrench” (intent to slow down or halt activities) in my upcoming work days of helping moving, unpacking, organizing, design, and feng shui.
If you are planning an upcoming move please visit my web page Moving for moving checklists, and other moving organizational tools and tips.
My hubbie graciously reminded me yesterday that I only had 14 days left to file our taxes. Sorry to say I generally do wait until the last minute – I cannot tell you why. I have everything I need – I just need to add everything up and take the stuff to H&R Block. Guess I’ll call today and make an appointment with my girl Jeannie.
I have a few items to share with you that might help you this year or next for getting ready, filing and knowing what to keep:
Free Report: What Paperwork Do I Really Need To Keep
Free Article: Track the Tax Papers
Free Checklist: Tax Preparation Checklist
Great Book! My associate, Ron Mueller, is the co-author of
“It’s How Much You KEEP, That Counts! Not How Much You Make“. It’s the ULTIMATE Tax-Reduction System For Small and Home-Based Businesses! Reading one chapter has already helped me and I’m sure it will help you also.
Here’s wishing you a great refund!
